Decided against Cape Town, and we're going to Thailand for 3 weeks instead  3 nights in Bangkok, probably at the Pullman King Power hotel, then considering taking the train and ferry to Koh Samui where we have hired a cracking villa between Bophut and Chaweng. It's not till February 09 though  Anyone thinking of going, Eva Air have got a special deal of London - Bangkok for £530 just now, if you book before end of June.

Have you done Thailand before Martin? We stayed at Chaweng..Chaweng Garden Resort..back in 2003. In Bangkok we were in the road parallel to the Koh San Road staying at the Viangthai Hotel.
 Got a shortish travel blog of our three weeks. If you're interested to read it send my your email addie via pm.

Yes, have been a few times. Bangkok,Samui, Ao Nang, Phuket and Koh Lanta. Always interested in reading more, so I'll pop you a PM with my email addy.

We did Bangkok, Koh Samui, Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Krabbi, Phuket and back to Bangkok!
