Thanks fizz had heard that the location isn't great

just wondering did you hire a car, or get bus taxi to get anywhere? Was it cheap.
And was there anything to do in the immediate area, or did you have to get transport to the local tavernas etc?

Thanks for the replies

hi lisa, yes we did hire a car for the whole of the holiday, prebooked on the internet before we went and it was delivered and collected from the eleni, the hotel itself was lovely, we had a ground floor appartment with a patio area which looked out onto the med, stunning views, the food in the hotel was i remember excellant we went self catering but did eat there a couple of times, the snack bar was also good, they have a underground carpark which is brilliant, your car is kept cool in the day and safe at night, the eleni stands back from a main road where there are a few resturants and quite a big supermarket, theres also a good bus route, but we enjoyed the freedom of having our own car, there isnt a beach at the eleni and the nearest ia coral beach about 15 mins drive, but a lovely beach, we had quite a few trips out, the troodos moutains, the water park, bird santury, the harbour in paphos is lovely, some great resturants and bars, and you can book a boat trip there too,
if you havent been to cyprus before i would say go, it was the best holiday we have had my 5 yearold loved it so did my 15 yearold
if theres anything else i can help you with please ask.

fizz xx

Lisa I wholeheartedly agree with fizz that you should go to Cyprus

I do have to say though that the Eleni is a fair distance out side Paphos in

an area called Chlorakas........have a look Here

I haven't stayed there only passed it so can't pass comment on food or

accommodation.............sorry.

We love it Cyprus and all being well I'll be going for the 5th time in July. My

two grandchildren think it's heaven on earth and we'll be staying at the

Avanti Village again. Anything else I can help with let me know
