I was given a beautiful Cyclamen about 3 **save Hilda, don't say it!**'s ago and although I read they are supposed to stop flowering and go dormant for the summer mine never has so I continued watering and feeding it.

Unfortunately Clive forgot to water it while I was in Nottingham and when I came back most of the leaves had gone yellow and started to die off. I thought I might save it so I gave it a drink but there are few leaves now growing, these are a funny reddy colour and only one flower.

I've kept it in the bathroom as it likes the humidity there.

So please can someone tell me what to do with it now.

Chocs I pulled off all the dying leaves cos they go all slimey if you don't. The little card that came with it says not to feed or water while its in its dormant stage but I'm not sure if it is.

It says to stop watering about April when the leaves go yellow but they didn't until Clive forgot to water it.  Then start again in Sept. As there are still a few leaves and 1 flower I'm not sure if its dormant or what.

I used to be good with plants but over the last few years they die on me.

Silverpixie - has your cyclamen revived?

They are my favourite winter flower and I like them because they 'tell' you when to water them

My OH bought me a lovely terracota tub last year full of the baby outdoor cyclamen and they have just started coming back into flower now after being ignored all summer

I once killed a cactus. So you don't want my advice.
