Off to Greece, Kardemena in October 2006. Made a bit of boo boo with the dates step daughter goes to uni the day we fly out. That's gonna be a busy day, drop her off at halls in the morning, come home pack the car and off to the airport!
I love Kardemena this time of year, I know a lot of people think it's a bit commercialised. But October is quiet, but not dead, good range of restaurants and bars for all tastes. Plus Sandra loves the bargains she gets as they start to close down for the season! I sit in a bar with a cold pint and a good book, she goes bargain hunting.
Roads aren't full of hyped up teenagers on mopeds, so you can explore the rest of the island in peace.

Weather is nicer as well, tends to be hot but not stifling, and much more pleasant in the evenings. Added advantage kids are at school, so no having to take 20 packets of nurofen when you want to go the pool. Laughing
Can you tell I am not a kid person?

| I have been three times in October and had great weather mid to late 20's in the days. Gets a bit cooler in the evening though, but I prefer that makes it easier to sleep at night. Only ever had rain once! |
